Prep Formation Sessions

Note: The following dates for only for Prep students.

  • Please see Sacrament-specific tabs for Prep AND St. Pio Formation sessions.

November

  • Saturday, November 5th at 8:30am – there will be a mass; this will count as a “spiritual” credit. Prep students are expected and encouraged to attend.

  • Sunday, November 6th 10-11:15am – There will be a Formation Session for all Prep students.

December

  • Sunday, December 4th at 10:00-11:15am – Formation session for prep students with 11:30am Mass to follow

  • Monday, December 19th 6:30pm – Parish Penance Service. This will count as a “spiritual” credit.

January

  • Sunday, January 8th at 10:00-11:15am – Formation session for prep students with 11:30am Mass to follow

February

  • Sunday, February 5th at 9:30-11:15am – Safe Environment Lesson taught; followed by 11:30am Mass

  • Wednesday, February 22nd – Ash Wednesday – This will count as a “spiritual” credit.

March

  • Monday, March 20th through Wednesday, March 22nd – 6:30pm St. Joseph Triduum – ALL students Invited to attend Mass and Procession on Opening Night. Tuesday and Wednesday will be prayer services 6:30pm

April

  • April 3rd through April 8th – Holy Week; attending Holy Week will count for 4 spiritual credits

  • Monday, April 3rd 6:30pm – Parish Penance Service; This will count as a spiritual credit

Examples of Service Activities

Donate food for those In need. Bags of food can be dropped off at the back of church. The parish collects food every week and every bag counts as a separate service.

Participate In:

  • parish giving tree at Christmas

  • Missionary boxes

  • CRS Rice Bowl (Lent)

  • Weekly bags of food for the needy

Participate In Parish/School/Community activities such as Easter Egg Hunt or Bingo Bag (CYO)-adult. clothing drives

Trunk or Treat

October 28th

This event Is open to the St. Richard Parish. Prep students are welcome!

St. Pio School Parking Lot for Trunks, School Hall for Monster Mash, and Rectory Lawn for Spooky Trail!

• Set up for cars starting at 5:00 PM (Check in at the table)

All You Need to Know:

Cost – $15.00 per Family

*Free for families who decorate their vehicles and distribute candy.

Where – Saint Pio School Hall, Parking Lots, and Rectory Lawn

When – Line up for walkers at 6:30 PM

Spooky Trail Tickets are an additional $3.00 per person for all participants.

Candy distribution and Monster Mash (with DJ Steven Ciasullo) from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM!

Spooky Trail 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

• S’mores Kits will be available for purchase with light refreshments!
